Ecumenical Worship Services
Each year AVAC holds four community worship services. All services are interdenominational and welcome participation from all Christians.
- Community Good Friday Service – Held annually at Trinity United Methodist Church, Brackenridge, PA from noon – 3 pm.
- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Service – The 2026 service was held at Abundant Life Fellowship in Christ Church in New Kensington . The Rev. Dr. Cletus Hull, pastor of Trinity United Christian Church in Lower Burrell was our speaker. All donations through the free will offering was used for scholarships to assist students further their education.
- Festival of Faith – This year’s festival will be held on October 25th at 7:00 pm. A host is still needed. Choirs and musical groups from AVAC member churches are invited to provide the music and we will welcome a guest speaker to provide an address.
- National Day of Prayer – National Day of Prayer is an annual observance day which is observed on the first Thursday in the month of May. On this day, Americans are encouraged to give thanks and to turn to God in prayer and peaceful meditation. This year’s service was held at Center Church of Fawn Township.
