Ecumenical Worship Services
Each year AVAC holds four community worship services. All services are interdenominational and welcome participation from all Christians.
- Community Good Friday Service – Held annually at Trinity United Methodist Church, Brackenridge, PA from noon – 3 pm.
- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Service – The 2025 service was held at Christ Our Hope Anglican Church in Natrona Heights . The Rev. Diane Curry Randolph, pastor of Freeport, Grace, and Trinity United Methodist Churchesl District was our speaker. All donations through the free will offering was used for scholarships to assist students further their education.
- Festival of Faith – This year’s festival will be held on October 19th at the First United Presbyterian Church in Tarentum at 7:00 pm. Choirs and musical groups from AVAC member churches provided the music. Our guest speaker is the Rev. Philip A. Beck, Pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church Tarentum.
- National Day of Prayer – National Day of Prayer is an annual observance day which is observed on the first Thursday in the month of May. On this day, Americans are encouraged to give thanks and to turn to God in prayer and peaceful meditation. This year’s service was held at Natrona Heights Presbyterian Church.
