Pine Ridge Heights
|
Located at 892 Veterans Lane in Natrona Heights, the 40-unit apartment building is designed for persons and families age 62 years and older. Residents have all the comforts of home, plus the added convenience of supportive services. Pine Ridge Heights opened in March 2001 and was soon fully occupied. The apartments include 22 units with one bedroom, 6 with one bedroom plus a den, and 12 with two bedrooms. All the apartments at Pine Ridge Heights have income qualifications according to state and federal regulatory guidelines. There is currently no other housing complex within a five-mile radius that offers supportive services for low and moderate income elderly persons (50 to 60 percent of the area median income). Pine Ridge Heights makes it possible for area residents to remain within the community if they wish to sell their homes. The building also makes it possible for moderately priced, single family homes - which are at a premium - to be placed on the market for sale to young growing families. Pine Ridge Heights is a combined effort of the Allegheny Valley Association of Churches, Presbyterian SeniorCare, and UPMC Senior Living Services. The building is managed by SeniorCare Network, a not-for-profit real estate management affiliate of Presbyterian SeniorCare.
